I was reading articles for spoilers, and came across this from a recap of the episode:
"Sidenote: Prince Charming's fake Dad is Charles Widmore! Clearly this whole TV show is just another Lost alternate reality timeline. I suspect somewhere Jack is running around screaming at a gnome, "We have to go back!""
The mental thought of that made me laugh so hard, I scared the cat.

Is my mind play tricks on me or is Mr. Gold want the curse to be broken?

Is my mind play tricks on me or is Mr. Gold want the curse to be broken? You know, I have no idea what he wants. I do think he wants it broken at some point - on his terms, no doubt and when he's ready for it to be. He told Snow how to break it...and the Queen that he had so informed Snow. He certainly likes being the Man in the Know, so to speak. With his casual references to FTL life. Like "Charming" in this episode. But did he "create" David's memories in this ep? The sudden recall was suspicious. And, ultimately, what it comes down to is...what is his long-term game plan?

And the fact that Charming remembered riding off with Abigail/Katheryn, but nothing else?
Seems suspicious to me.
And sudden recall after amnesia seems common in TV Shows. In RL - no way.
