Which isn't to say that I won't thoroughly enjoy the Emma/Graham ship as it gets more developed. But right now, it's all about the "Snowing" ship for me. I agree. Right now it's the only "ship" I'm interested in. I really like Graham but I'm not sold on Emma. I'm not sold on that kid, Henry, either.

I don't think Henry's going to get any more interesting, to be honest. He is what he is.
Emma? Looks like she's being styled by whoever was Durance's stylist in S4-S7 of Smallville.

There's just something about an OTP that just seems DESTINED to be together that really makes me happy. I never thought about Snow/Prince Charming before, but I think I can easily add their name to the list if this show handles the ship well. I never thought about the fairytale princesses in that vein either, but like you, I'm willing to add it to the list. I think the difference is...a ship that's not DESTINED to be together...they can mess with it so much. And if, at a certain point, they've messed it up too much, they can just shelve it and move the characters on to their REAL true loves. Until they mess that up... There's also something to be said about the fact that there's certain things that writers CAN'T do in a story that's about a destined couple. For example...they can't have Snow go off and have an affair with the Big Bad Wolf. They can't have a serious flirtation between her and Cinderella's Prince Charming. She can't get mad at her Charming and tell him she never loved him and that he was the worst thing that's ever happened to her. He can't rip his heart out of his chest and lay it at her feet, telling her that she's what he's always wanted and he'll love her for the rest of his life and have her respond, "Yeeeeeah...not good enough for me. But thanks for the thought!" Because the thing is, they not only have to get these characters together, you have to WANT them together when they get together. You have to BELIEVE in their love story, all the way to the end. And - for good writers, at least - you have to be able to look at the story and say, "These two people don't just end up together because that's the way the story's written. They BELONG together and you've seen that from point A to point Q." Even with the difficulties and whatever obstacles come up in their paths. Plus, there's a better chance that there won't be a "bait and switch." They won't promote one ship and then go, "Well, we've told all the stories we have to tell with that ship...let's introduce a new character for some UST and see how THAT ship runs..."

I know not of what you guys speak! (And to be fair, in part I was referencing shows like "Bones" and others. )
