On Archie Hopper:
Fairytale Bio
In Fairy Tale Land he’s the little voice that always reminds you to do the right thing. We all know him as Pinocchio’s confidant, ever trying to steer the marionette-made-boy clear of the rocky shoals of temptation. But haven’t you ever wondered where Jiminy was coming from when he strolled by the window of Geppetto’s shop on that magical night when the blue fairy made Pinocchio a real boy?
Raphael Sbarge on playing Archie Hopper / Jiminy Cricket:
"Henry's psychologist, Archibald Hopper (AKA Jiminy Cricket), discovered his 'conscience' the hard way: He lived it. Not learned from books, or a university, he learned it at 'the school of hard knocks.' A man who innately wants to do the right thing—like all of us—but sometimes achieving that high standard is fraught with moral dilemmas, challenges and perhaps new opportunities to choose wisely... Dr. Archie Hopper is a soulful man, a wounded healer, searching for the best in himself while encouraging the same in others. He cares deeply about Henry, and knows that his strong mother makes things a little rough for him.
It is a huge honor to embrace the iconic character of Jiminy Cricket. 'Let your conscience be your guide,' is a simple cornerstone of doing the right thing... Maybe we should start a new trend, 'What would Jiminy do?' Ha!"

Storybrooke Bio
An eccentric and bookish looking Dalmatian-owner, never without his signature umbrella, Archie is Storybrooke’s resident psychiatrist. Lately, he has been treating young Henry, a patient about whom Archie obviously cares a great deal. He is tender and sincere, cheerfully welcoming Emma’s presence in Storybrooke and in Henry’s life. Though Archie is obviously a man of sound conscience, Regina seems to be pulling his strings somehow.
