I have a feeling her role will be bigger as the story progresses, since she has been seen as a background chracter in all 3 episodes so far, something not even done with the main cast. Though they kind of hinted in the pilot and in the way she dresses that Ruby is promiscious, I just learned in the originally Red Riding Hood story from the 16th Century it was a story to scare young innocent girls to beware of seducers (wolves) I was quite surprised, though I guess it makes sense. Interesting that they are using a form of the original story for red riding hood.

It will definitely be fun to see more of both of them. They seem to have a halarious relationship with one another!

This is completely random, but I was watching "Enchanted" the other day and I thought it was ironic that the story Giselle tells Morgan about Little Riding Hood has the girl chasing the wolf around until the grandmother saves the wolf. And when Morgan says, "That's not the way I heard the story..." I love that Giselle answers, "That's because Red likes to tell it a little differently."
I thought of Ruby when I saw that scene.
And, yeah, I think she'll have a bigger role, too. But - right now - it's very female-centric, with Snow, Emma, and Regina. It'll be odd to see Ruby's role expand a lot, too. Personally, I want to see more of Emma.

I liked Ruby in tonight's episode. Her choice of clothing is questionable, but she has a good heart. I liked how she was watching out and defending her friend Ashley to Emma and by extension the town in general.

I think Ruby's more interesting than Emma at this point.

I like Emma well enough, but the draw for me is Snow White/Mary Margerat, so the episode was a just alright last night. Last night's episode was really the first time we got to hear Ruby's character talk and get snippets of what her characer's about, so yeah definitely more interesting.

I should probably take this to the Emma thread, but I'm having difficulty getting invested in her because she has no "back story" so to speak. Everything hinges on her being the Hope and stuff, but she's a pretty one-note character in the present day world. Her back story can be summed up into 2 sentences and her job is to mostly stand around and react to stuff.
Ruby - at least - seemed to have a bit of a personality.
