From wetpaint.com:
New faces: We will officially be introduced to Cinderella, who goes by Ella, played by Jessy Schram. In the real world (which we’re still not sure is an appropriate name, considering Storybrooke is actually a kind of purgatory for lost souls), Ella is named Ashley. Got that straight?
We’ll also meet Prince Thomas (Tim Phillipps), who appears to be the man at the Ball who gets that glass slipper to fit. Time goes by, and suddenly Ella is pregnant. Sadly, that good news is polluted with some very dismal news as well (see the clip below).
Saving grace: While driving near Storybrooke’s border, Emma (Jennifer Morrison) and Henry (Jared Gilmore) come across a crashed car on the side of the road. Further down, they see a very pregnant woman (Ashley) struggling in the grass. ABC’s spoilers suggest that Emma will save her and that, back in the fairy tale world, Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) is one of Ella’s only friends. So we’re sure there will be yet another newly discovered connection with a stranger for Mary Margaret (after last week’s John Doe/Prince Charming/David lust).
Cinderella’s dilemma: In the fairy tale world, just like the original tale itself, Cinderella is a poor orphan working for her step-family. But in the classic story, Cinderella’s fairy godmother allows her to live out her dreams of princess-hood for just one night, before turning back to reality at the stroke of midnight. Her prince finds her using the glass slipper from the Ball, and on and on until Happily Ever After. Not the case on this show.
Instead, Ella meets Rumpelstiltskin (Robert Carlyle), who tells her she can live the glamorous life indefinitely, but for a big price. Once she has a baby, she will hand it over to Rumps. How does this affect the real world? It looks like Ashley is lying in the grass at the edge of Storybrooke because she has been running away from Mr. Gold (Rumps’ real world equivalent, and owner of Storybrooke), who wants her baby.
The Mayor vs. Emma: In another preview clip, we hear Mayor Regina Mills (Lana Parrilla) once again warn Emma against sticking around. But taking into account the fact that Emma tried leaving the town’s perimeters before and just happened to hit a deer; and now Ashley tried escaping but just happened to crash her car... we doubt if anyone in Storybrooke can actually, physically leave at all. The question is: why doesn’t Regina know this, considering her fairy tale counterpart is the one who dreamt this all up?
