I'm putting this in the speculation section because it may end up containing spoilers, but is not really a spoiler.
Personally, if they're carrying the Disney theme through, I'd like to see Alladin and the Genie incorporated somehow.
Going with the usual fairy tale stories, I think I'd like to see Belle... I guess she's the only other princess with a bit of a story to her.

Belle is coming up. They've just cast her. She's going to be played by Emilie deRavin from Lost.

Aurora aka Sleeping Beauty is another one I would want to see if they have introduced Maleficent.
Not really a fairy tale character, but I would love it if they could some how incorporate Mulan. Not sure how it could be accomplished, but it would certainly bring some diversity to the cast.
As a Chinese American growing up here, I was always drawn to any Asian characters that I could see in the media, but was always disappointed by how one-dimensional and stereotypical the portrayals would be. That's why I love Mulan, especially since it's based of historical figure. Mulan is actually a very dutiful and loving daughter like most Asian girls, but she's goes about it differently by breaking social norms and showing that girls can be heroes just like boys.

I would LOVE to see Mulan! She's probably one of my favorite Disney...well, I guess you're right in that she's not really a princess. But, still. In terms of her STORY, I probably have enjoyed the way they handled her story the most. If I step back and really analyze the fairy tale princess stories that I grew up with. She didn't get her "prince" at the end because she's a pretty face that he fell in love with at first sight, after all. She was smart and loyal and pretty awesome, really. I think there's a good chance we may see Mulan before the end.

(I think she actually does qualify as a princess, because she ends up marrying that guy.) It's actually my favorite Disney animated movie... and the only one my tomboy daughter will actually sit through and not hate.

Perfect place to put. Hhhmmm... I think their choice for Ariel is pretty cool (I've never seen her work before, though). I do think Johanna Garcia (rumored to be doing Ariel) will end up being good for the role, though. I hope. And, yeah, their choice for Tarzan is perfect. But I think that actor is busy trying to make a movie career, isn't he?

Mulan's a great role model for girls. Not sure about being a princess, but I think she would merited as noblewoman technically because she has the support and awards from the Emperor and her marriage to Commander Shang, who would have been from a noble house. She's such a great character I would love whatever they did with her in the Fairytale world, but would be wary of how much Mulan would change in the Storybooke world.

Yeah, I definitely would not want to see Mulan get the Ella treatment. They basically turned Cinderella into a gold digger.

I wouldn't go has far as say she was a gold digger, but she was definitely misguided and not really the brightest bulb. I do wonder if we will be seeing her again on the show since didn't she kind of get her happy ending at the end of the episode, was that it for her storyline? Another fairytale character I would want to see would be Thumbelina with Erica Durance playing her. For some reason I think it would be hilarious because ED is always saying how she felt like a giant on Smallville with the rest of the female cast being so petite, so her being Thumbelina would be a hoot. Thumbelina is brave and adventurous and won't settle for any duds.
