What is WITH her hair and clothes? I kept waiting for red jacket to go away and then she replaced it with a more hideous blue and white one. (Jade put it correctly: they're dressing her like the Red Blue Blur from Smallville. WHYYYY? )

Well, I read an interview where she said she was kinda sad she didn't have a fairy tale counterpart because she wished she got an elaborate costume. So...um...they're trying to...make up for it? Maybe? I'm also going to say that the way they dress her and do her hair, she looks...older. I think this is intentional because they want her to look like a bounty hunter who's had a hard life. To have that "real world" feel to her, contrary to the other characters, who naturally have a more fairy tale air about them. I wish she'd go back to her brown hair, though. I think it looked better on her. But maybe I have a natural aversion to brunettes being made blonde...though happily, I doubt in this instance it was because they were afraid we'd otherwise confuse her with Snow.

I almost do wonder if they're keeping her blonde because Snow and Regina are brunette.
And I think the blonde look would be better if it wasn't a brassy blonde and they allowed her to straighten her hair or something. There is a more flattering way to be a blonde. Or let her put her hair up in a ponytail or something.
